The Ministry of Public Health of Cuba and the Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S.A. are pleased to announce the call for applications for the International Health Tourism Award, within the framework of the II International Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair, scheduled to take place from April 21 to 24, 2025, at the Pabexpo fairgrounds.

This Award aims to recognize and reward:

  1.National or foreign medical tourism and/or wellness service institutions that have made significant contributions in one or more of the event's themes throughout their history. Consideration will also be given to the response to current health challenges in Cuba and worldwide, as well as the social impact (local, national, international, for patients and for health professionals).
   2.Travel agencies, tour operators, or medical facilitators with relevant results in the promotion and commercialization of medical and wellness tourism under the event's paradigm.
   3.Official print or digital media with an outstanding track record in promoting medical and wellness tourism, and a demonstrated significant reach at the international level.
   4.Notable or relevant personalities who have made contributions to medical and wellness tourism in Cuba and internationally.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 15, 2025.
Applications must be submitted via email to calidad@smcsalud.cu, indicating "International Health Tourism Award" in the subject line.
The results of the awards in the different categories will be announced at the closing ceremony of the event.
